How to Create Shortcut Key for Any Applications in Windows 8.1
In Windows Operating System, allows you to create shortcut key for any applications or files in your system which are most frequently used. This Shortcut key helps you to reduce your time and effort to search for your required application at that time. These features in Windows, allows you to access your most frequently used application in your system to save your time. Not only you can create shortcut key for any applications, but also you can create any file or folder’s shortcut keys. For creating any shortcut key for any applications or folder, first you have to create a shortcut of the application then you assign shortcut key to that application or folder.
Process to Create Shortcut for Any Application/Files
Step 1 : Go to your Drive and open the file that contains applications or files, that you want to create shortcut in your desktop.
Step 2 : Now “Right-click” on the application or file.
Step 3 : Then click on “Create Shortcut” option. Once you done clicking, your shortcut for that application or file was created on same folder of the drive. Now you can “CUT” (Ctrl+x) and “Paste” it anywhere in your system.
Process to Assign Shortcut Key to That Shortcut
Once you create your shortcut of your application or file, then you assign a shortcut key for that application. Here is some steps to create or assign Shortcut key for your Shortcut.
Step 1 : Right-click on your Shortcut and select Properties option.
Step 2 : Now click on “Shortcut” tab.
Step 3 : Then click on ‘Shortcut Key” tab and press any letter from your keyboard to assign Shortcut key for your Shortcut. For example, if you press any key like “A”, then your shortcut key for that shortcut will be “Ctrl+Alt+A”.
