How to Delete User Account in Windows 8/8.1

If you want to delete your account in Windows 8/8.1, then first check if your account is local account or Administrator account. If your account is Administrator account then you can safely delete any account from your PC. Follow the below steps to find out your account is Administrator account or not.

Step 1: Swipe the mouse pointer to the right edge of the screen, tab “setting” then click on “Control Panel” or you can also press “Win key + X” together, and then Press “P” to open “Control Panel” (Shortcut key for open Control Panel).

Step 2: Now click on “User Account and Family Safety” option.

Step 3: Click on “User account”.
Step 4: Click on the “Microsoft account” and check whether the account is Administrator or not.

Process to Delete User Account in Windows 8/8.1

When you finally check that your account is a Administrator Account, then you can easily delete your account from that computer. Remember when you delete your account your e-mail messages and all your settings are also get deleted, so choose whether to delete your account or not. For delete your account follow the below steps:

Step 1:Swipe the mouse pointer to the right edge of the screen, tab “setting” then click on “Control Panel” or you can also

Step 2: Now click on “User Account and Family Safety” option.

Step 3: Click on “User account”.

Step 4: Now click on “Manage another account”. If you are ask for the administrator password then type the password that you have given as Administrator.

Step 5: Click the account you want to delete, and then click on Delete the account.

Step 6: If you want to save the files that you created under that account the click on Keep Files or else Delete Files
Step 7: Now finally click on “Delete Account”</strong.
