On the previous article we discuss about how to create a CON folder using Command Prompt. Now we will describe you how to do the same without using the Command Prompt (CMD). To create a con folder without using CMD, we will take help from one of the previous article How to create a folder without any name or with a blank space. It works well on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows RT.
1. Create any folder and then choose Rename.
2. Now press “Alt” and type 255 (Type the numbers using numpad that are present at the right side of keyboard not the number keys that are present above the keyboard. Refer: Create a folder with blank space).
3. Then type CON and press Enter. (You can also use any name instead of CON like PRN, NUL, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, LPT9, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9 etc and create a folder with that name.)
4. Now a folder with the name CON will be created.
5. That is it.
